55 Monk Build w/o using Protective Spirit
I see a lot of people complaining that their 55 Monk fails, because they forget to upkeep Protective Spirit and Healing Breeze. Here's my lazy man 55 Monk/Warrior build:
Head-- +1 Smite, Smite Sup Rune
Chest-- Healing Sup Rune
Arms-- Divine Favor Sup Rune
Leggings-- Protection Sup Rune
Feet-- Divine Favor Sup Rune
Weapons:
Totem Axe (not imperative)
Grim Cesta -50hp (is imperative)
Healing Prayers 8
Smiting Prayers 15
Protection Prayers 13
Divine Favor 8
Axe Mastery 1
Hammer Mastery 0
Swordsmanship 0
Tactics 1
now for skills:
Shield of Judgement (When I didn't have this, I used Gladiator's Defense... not as good, but does the job)
Banish
Bonnetti's Defense
Blessed Signet
Essence Bond
Balthazaar's Spirit
Mending
Protective Bond
Now, with this build you have four maintained enchantments. This means 0 energy regen, but each hit from an enemy only takes 1 energy from you. Blessed Signet regains 12 energy when you use it, and mending grants you +3 health regen, just enough to shield you from all the Trolls you can find (yes, all at once, seeing as Protective Bond only allows 5% of your max health in damage, as opposed to Protective Spirit's 10%) With this build, your energy becomes the buffer between the trolls and your health. When your energy drops low, use Bonnetti's Defense to gain a quick boost of energy (+5 per hit). With this, you can run right through the Avicaras outside of Droks with ease, and move on to the Trolls. When I farm with this, I typically run right into as many Trolls as spawn in the cave, the more the better (more money). They all pretty much die at once because of SoJ. The Banish is in the build mainly to kill the Troll bosses faster, but I'm sure you could replace it with something of your choice.
